Brief Web Server Outage: PHP Upgrade

There was a brief web server outage in our shared hosting environment today around 12:00PM (noon) EST. This outage was due to an upgrade being performed to our PHP installation to insure we were running the most secure and reliable version currently available (version 5.3.2). After completing the upgrade it was determined that our client's using the CMSMadeSimple content management system were not able to browse their web sites. It turns out that CMSMadeSimple is currently  not compatible with the 5.3.x version of PHP and only functions with versions 5.2.x. For this reason we have chosen to instead upgrade to PHP version 5.2.13.

We have tested various sites following this upgrade and have confirmed that this upgrade did not negatively effect any of our clients. The outage totaled less than 5 minutes and many of you probably didn't even notice. Please rest assured that we will continue to do everything we can to keep these outages to a minimum while maintaining our shared hosting environments to insure we're using the most secure and reliable software available to serve your needs. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions you may have.

iTistic Inc. Soft-Launches New Web Site!

We’ve finally scheduled some time away from working on our client’s projects to design and launch our new web site! If you take a look around you’ll notice our new site is soon to be packed with plenty of content to help our visitors get the information they’ve always wanted. Some sections are not yet complete (Support, for example) but will be in the coming weeks. That section specifically will contain a new Knowledge Base, FAQ, Support Inquiry form, and even Videos! We’re going to pack as much information into the support section as we possibly can to empower our clients to solve problems and learn new skills on their own.

Since you’re here you’ve also probably noticed we now have a blog! We’re going to make it a habit of posting regularly to keep our visitors informed with announcements, helpful tips for ExpressionEngine, ProductCart, and CMSMadeSimple, client case studies and showcases, as well as our take on the latest and greatest web design and development news. This blog will become a great resource for visitors and clients alike!

Please stay in touch! Our new site provides you with a number of ways to keep up with what’s going on at iTistic. Subscribe to our RSS feed and our Newsletter to stay current. Also, we highly value your thoughts, opinions, and comments. Please don’t be shy! We actively monitor the comments on our blog and can always be easily reached privately as well.

Thank you for taking the time to visit our new site! We’re very excited about what the future holds for iTistic and look forward to building a new community with you. See you in the comments!
